Mon Dec 6, 2004 Stopped at Kranberry's resturant in Lordsburg NM for lunch. Arrived at Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson. Beautiful weather for our entire trip, a little cool at nite but beautiful days. Sun Dec 5, 2004 Tried to stay at Fort Bliss in El Paso, but the campground was full. These snow birds are coming down early. Over nite in a campground in Deming, NM. Gas, 1.76/gal. Sat Dec 4, 2004 On through to Odessa, TX and faithful old Walmart again. Thousands of oil wells in this area and with the price of crude these guys are pumping big time. Gas again, $1.80/gal. Fri Dec 3, 2004 Beautiful drive over the OK. turnpike. Tried to stay at the Fort Sill campground, but it was closed for the winter. Stayed at Walmart resorts in Wichita Falls Tx. Gas $1.77/gal. Thu Dec 2, 2004 Stopped in Rolla, Mo. at a Panera Bread resturant. I like the bread bowel with soup and Betty likes there salads. I think a Panera Bread resturant will be going in at Buckhorn Mall. Stopped overnite at an Indian Casino in Miami, OK. Free camping if you can stay out of the casino. I took them for $15.00. More gas, $1.67/gal. Wed Dec 1, 2004 Nice day, overnite at walmart Resorts in Effingham, IL. What nice people these walmart people are. More gas at $1.85/gal. Tue Nov 30, 2004 Left Berwick this AM. Paid $2.00 for the turnpike from Harrisburg to the I-70 west exit to W.Va. Overnite at Walmart Resorts in Cambridge Oh. Filled up with gas at $1.77/gal. Sat Apr 24, 2004 Still rainning in Branson, glad we are on top of this hill. Sat PM, rain stopped and the sun showed its face for about an hour and then went down. This bus is leaving in the morning. Remember, we wait on the bus--- The bus don't wait on us. Jim Owens did a fine show for us this morning, a tribute to Johnny Cash. We had our Starbucks this afternoon, so that makes everything fine.
